God is Mysterious

The mysteries of God are like a flowing river, viewed differently by everyone and touched uniquely by the spirit. You can never step in the same river twice. (That line is from a song in Pocahontas).

The spirit, the soul, the mind, and the heart are all receptors of God's mysteries. Just when you feel that you've come to a conclusion about God in your mind, your spirit humbles you so that you realize that you really know nothing at all. The concept of God is different for everyone, but yet the same characteristics apply: Creator, Most High, Almighty, All-Knowing, Merciful, Loving, but a Being to be feared. Even some of those characteristics may not be shared by all people, but I think it's a good starting point to understand God's creation. If God was not merciful, why would He allow his people to sin and not die immediately? If God was not loving, why would He have created light to shine throughout the world? And if God was not to be feared, then He would not be powerful. The Creator of the Universe must have power and dominion over His own creation. He also gave humans free will, but he gave all humans the capacity to understand that He is God. Whether they choose to accept it or not is a free choice.

Atheists even have a capacity for spirituality, even though in the course of history they have made up less than 1% of all humans. (Catholic Christianity text)

Faith is a great mystery. What is faith? It's intangible, yet powerful for the mind. Faith usually requires trust. Trust is another intangible quality that grants humans the power and ability to do things they never thought they could.

Why does God not show himself to his children daily? Why doesn't he fulfill the believers and admonish the unbelievers? These are mysteries of God, but we know that His will is perfect. My mind (not that it is fully developed) thinks that God chooses not to show himself in full form because it would negate the need for faith. And, we can remember from the Scriptures, that even when His Son appeared on earth, MANY people were skeptical and claimed that God would not send such a man to them. So how is God to prove himself to such a stubborn and disbelieving people? His Son's teachings are unparalleled in their brilliance and relevance to society, and yet even with a Teacher that teaches about the Lord with authority, many people could not believe that such a person was from God.

I do believe that God shows himself to people in ways that only they can understand. If God were to show Himself to all of us in the same way, we could not receive it the same way because we are all different. Different beings, different eyes, different minds, different souls, different experiences and different lives. To know the Will of God in any one person's life, he or she must seek it individually. God has different messages for people.

Does anyone have a message that they want to share?

My message is to defend the truth fearlessly and know that He is with me. The Greatest is Love.
